This year the Royal Brunei Armed Forces celebrates its 51st anniversary. In the capital city Bandar Seri Begawan military parade, artillery displays, exhibition and military demostration i.e.parachuting and even mock battles are shown to the public by different units of the armed forces.
This significant holiday to the Muslim world is to celebrate the ascension of Prophet Mohammad to heaven. Special prayers and religious gatherings will be held at local mosques throughout the country.
