This year the Royal Brunei Armed Forces celebrates its 51st anniversary. In the capital city Bandar Seri Begawan military parade, artillery displays, exhibition and military demostration i.e.parachuting and even mock battles are shown to the public by different units of the armed forces. 

This significant holiday to the Muslim world is to celebrate the ascension of Prophet Mohammad to heaven. Special prayers and religious gatherings will be held at local mosques throughout the country.

This is the most important event in Brunei calendar. His Majesty the Sultan of Brunei will be celebrating his 66th birthday and the whole nation is in a joyous mood. Apart from the activities and festivities, a mass prayer will be held in all the major mosques throughout the country.

Hari Raya Aidilfitri is the Muslim festival of Eid ul-Fitr to mark the end of the Ramadan and the beginning of Syawal. It is celebrated nationwide by the Muslim community. The actual dates will be announced after the moon sighting on the last day of Ramadan. Therefore the dates given varies every year.

Hari Raya Korban or the "Festival of Sacrifice" is celebrated by the Muslim community throughout the country. Livestock such as cows, goats and buffalos are sacrificed to commemorate Prophet Ibrahim scarification of his son in obedient to Allah. This holy festival also marks the end of haj pilgrimage period.

This Islamic New Year marks the first day of Muslim Calendar. This year is the 1st day of Hijriah 1433.

Temburong, a well known district for its natural treasures has been actively promoting its annual event since 2007. Held during the 4th term school holidays, this 3 week long event attracts people from all walks of life including foreign visitors.  

This year Brunei Darussalam is celebrating it's 28th National Day and the whole country is buzzing with excitement. Highlights of the day will be the spectacular parade by all government bodies, non-governmental organisations, private sectors, school and colleges. The theme for this year celebration is "Negaraku Brunei Darussalam". 

This beach carnival is aimed at helping the local villagers and improving their economy through a social event. It is also a charity drive to collect funds for the orphans while supporting the "Kenali Negara Kitani" (Know Your Country) campaign.
