Detailed description of the Caring for the Destination Initiative: 


Take part in this culturally expansive tour where you will be able to taste a variety of local cuisine, including local cakes (Malay Kueh). The tour utilises the local community by taking you into there home when stopping for local refreshments and food during the house visit, in turn providing you an opportunity to see the inside of a true local home and some Brunei interior design.

Your mode of transport on this tour of the local water village will be traditional local boats, providing a real sense of local village life. There is an education programme in place to help the local community dispose of their waste in an efficient manner so that the natural tourism aspect remains sustainable.

Please wait in the lobby of your hotel 10 minutes before the departure time.  Please be punctual as the coach will not wait if you are late.


Notes:

Please wear flat walking shoes as the tour involves embarking and disembarking of a boat and walking on plank bridges that link houses on the water village.

Tour is operated on seat-in-coach basis. Private tour can be arranged with a surcharge of 50% on the published.
